I have been watching the ISU Athletics Twitter account all summer just waiting for them to come to Kossuth County. So when I saw they were coming I turned on the tweet notifications so as soon as they tweeted the clue I would know! I got the notification and knew exactly where to go and I was lucky enough to be the first one to make it there!!
When my mom and I got to the site where the box was we were actually the second group of people to show up, but none of us knew the password. So the ISU Extension lady had to tell the person in charge to send out another tweet with the password since the original tweet didn't have it and I was fortunate enough to find it first.
My friend and I were planning on hunting for the box since the Scavenger Hunt was announced. We found out that both us were going to be out of town on the day the box was in Floyd county. We decided to recruit some of our Hawkeye friends to get the box for us. We were texting them the rules and where to find it. They were on their way to the location and they got pulled over by a cop. Luckily they only got a warning. When they got to the location there were 2 people already there but they did not know the password. Our friends, Jamie and Tayler knew the password and won the box for us! We were SO excited and ! thankful for our friends!!
My extended family looks forward to the weekend surrounding the 4th of July every summer as our cousins from Ohio get to join us for celebrations. 2016 became extra special when we got to celebrate our Papa's 70th birthday and all these rabid Cyclone fans heard about a scavenger hunt called #ISU99 taking place in our county that very weekend!
The morning of the hunt we divided our county up and spread out to wait for the clue. When we saw the clue posted we rushed to Aurelia and were the first to arrive. The adult Cyclone fans and parents were thrilled for the victory, but the 6 avid kid Cyclone fans were the real winners that day.
Thanks for helping to make our annual family reunion the best one yet!

I loved winning the isu99 for Pottawattamie county! So many awesome prizes! Grown up a cyclone fan and have had my whole family go to Iowa State. As much as I would of loved to follow in their footsteps, nursing was my calling which is not offered at your campus to complete. But I still bleed Cyclones and I am so happy to cheer on such an amazing school! #cyclONEnation
